This course will teach you the process I use to create immersive experiences with playing cards that you can apply to your art making practice and your own personal projects. We will look at how to build a roadmap of augmented features from references, rig and animate 3D models, use the Unity game engine to create augmented reality experiences, and build a user interface to control our augmented card. We will also explore ways to enhance the experience with particle effects and sounds. This is a fun project I think will give you more hope for applications of AR in traditional game experience in the future, and it will give you a good foundation for how you can use AR to take your creativity to the next level with emerging technology. In this course, we are going to learn how to augment a playing card like one of my favorite anime shows growing up, Yu-Gi-Oh! This course is meant for intermediate creators that have used the Unity Game Engine before, but you don't need to be an experienced user or expert to follow along.
